Mountain Panorama

Yesterday, and a bit of today, we were down in Utah. Ellen and I were hanging out with her brother when I saw the opportunity to make this panorama. We were actually up on the side of the mountain shooting a pellet gun. I believe these are Squaw Mountain (left-I know, that's inappropriate), and Y Mountain (right).

Sheep

This morning we went to Idaho Falls. Ellen was helping with a press check for a school magazine they have been making at work. On the drive back we were both startled to see all these sheep right next to the road. I had to get out and shoot something. The sheep didn't seem to care until these dogs started barking at them. They all ran away from me after that.

Also, Ellen made pretzels tonight while I was out shooting stuff for my BFA project. Auntie Annie's has lost two customers.

Movie People

This semester I have been working on a photography project about people who work late, or graveyard shifts. The premier of the Twilight movie provided an opportunity to do this at the movie theater. I thought it would also be interesting to document some of the movie's crazed fans. I was hoping to find a few more dressed up. Most were wearing pajamas. Lame. These three, however, were definitely the most gung-ho.

Walter's Ready Mix

I went out to shoot stuff for my BFA project, but didn't end up finding anything that interesting. It was kind of a bummer because the light was pretty nice. However, I was satisfied to get this shot on the way home.

Leftover Pizza

The other day my teacher brought pizza to class for lunch. He ended up forgetting a whole pizza. Later that day I saw it and took it home. I ate some for lunch for the past couple days and finished it up today. After almost finishing the last out of a couple pieces, I happened to look down and saw something rather strange. There were at least five ants crawling all over it. I looked into the box and saw a TON more. I can't help but wonder how many I ate before noticing. I should have given the pizza back to my teacher. In southeast Asia that's what we call bad karma.

GPS Project Update

My teacher put a book together on blurb.com with all the images from our GPS group project (see a couple posts below). It is really cool and is worth checking out- even buying. I just ordered myself a copy as a matter of fact. It is called GPS Group Project - Perception of Place.
