Bike Ride Time Lapse

I wanted to go to the skatepark today, and I also wanted to shoot a time lapse. I ghetto harnessed my camera (around my stomach basically) with my camera strap and some shoe laces. I set my remote to make an exposure every two seconds. Some frames are blurry and the whole thing is shaky, but it's kind of fun. The movie chronicles my trip to and from the park. I made this one in response to Darren Clark's "Drive to Work" time lapse.

GPS Group Project

I was involved in a cool group project for one of my photography classes. My teacher explains the project on his blog so I'll just paste what he wrote: "For the project we had each student pick a location, photograph it, and mark it with a GPS unit. Each student in the class would then, over the next three or four weeks, go to each others locations and make an interesting photograph within 40 feet of that location. We didn't want to be tainted by seeing each others' work, so we didn't show each other the photographs until shooting was completed. We plan to exhibit the work (64 photographs total) in the Art building in a couple of weeks. We may also publish a book through Blurb."
With that said, here are my images with the GPS locations. Check out Darren Clark's link on the sidebar to see his images, too.

The Magical Fruit

We tried to make cheesy bean and rice quesadillas for dinner. They didn't taste that great; kind of bland. The beans straight out of the can didn't promise anything great anyway.

Although the process was very foreign to me, I finally completed it. I actually have a website now. I only have one portfolio up, but I promise more are on the way. Check it out.

LYLTL

Tonight I shot a time lapse of my friend's band, Love You Long Time. They have been living in L.A. as of the past year or so. It was good to have them back. I shot this (with the help of my remote, of course) one frame every ten seconds for their entire set; which lasted about 45 minutes. The explosion of lights at the end is their encore. Pretty wild stuff.

Potato Harvest

Public schools have the week off here so students can help harvest some spuds. I went to check out some of the commotion. These are a couple of the digital images I shot while I was out and about.

Football Time Lapse

I got a remote for my camera that allows me to do time lapses. I tested it out last night at a football game. I programmed it to go off every ten seconds and each exposure is one second. The entire movie covers about 26 minutes of real time. One football game ended and another began. I like the bit with the national anthem.
