New Camera

A few weeks ago I bought a Shen Hao 4x5 field camera. It was introduced to me by Travis Lovell, who was a visiting artist at our school a few months ago. The following are images made over the past couple weeks. It is a very fun little large-format camera.

Website Update

I updated my website today with a portfolio of images made using 19th century photographic processes. The portfolio name is Alternative Processes and you can follow the link to my website by clicking here. Below is a matte albumen print I recently made. The process involved painting a light sensitive solution on paper that was soaked in an egg white solution, then using a digital negative and making a contact print under UV lights. The experience making albumen prints provided me with knowledge and appreciation for a historical photographic process, exposure to weird odors, and in the end, some beautiful prints.

Etsy Shop

Today I set up an etsy shop since I am a recent graduate, unemployed, an artist, and have an excess of prints and other creations. So far I have put up a series of three linoleum block prints I made last year. Please visit my shop, and if you already have a print, recommend one to a friend. Click here or click the etsy logo on the right sidebar. Thanks.

Henry's Fork of the Snake River

Yesterday, while on a drive to the sand dunes with Ellen's parents, we stopped here so here dad could photograph some stuff. There have been beautiful cloudy skies here for the past few days. I wish it was always like this.
