Lovely Weather for Certain Things

Part of Ellen's birthday present was a kite. It is made of rip-stop nylon, fiberglass, and has two penguins on it. This thing was made to fly. As the wind began to pick up later in the afternoon, as it so frequently does, we decided to take it up to some playing fields on a hill and give it a good run. It was much windier than expected. The photograph on the right was about a 1/2 second exposure, and you can barely see a blur. It flew, crashed, flew some more, and ultimately survived. All and all a good voyage.
