Afternoon Drive

This afternoon I drove around town looking for more opportunities to shoot stuff for my BFA project. I didn't come across much, but did find a lingering pile of christmas trees and some nicely plastic-wrapped buildings. That's about it.

Photography and Printmaking

The other day I tried making a gold toned salted paper print for the first time. The mountain panorama is the same one I posted in November. I'll have to try it again because it is a bit dark. Also, tonight we went to the Museum of Eastern Idaho to see my former teacher's prints on display. It was really cool. I was asked by the museum director to document the reception and people interacting in the exhibits. One little girl was thoroughly enjoying herself.

Cyanotypes

We are learning how to make cyanotypes in my historical photographic processes class. These are the first two I made and toned. I am pretty satisfied with the top one, but the bottom one is a bit too light. I have a better exposed version I will probably tone the same way.

Christmas Break Pt.3

Today was our last day in Omaha. I went out a bit in the afternoon to photograph stuff for my BFA project, then met up with my dad and a few others to shoot clay pigeons. I had never used a shotgun before, but still hit one out of the three shots I took. Here are some photos from today.
