Ellen and I went to an Atlanta Braves game the other night and got our picture taken by the fan photographer. Apparently we can go to the website and purchase a copy from them. I wouldn't pay a minimum of $15 for this, would you?

More Tintypes
So these are the other tintypes made for my history of photography class. The tractor one was made by contact printing with a digital positive. The portrait of one of my classmates was made with a 4x5 camera. The portrait turned out very nice considering it was a three second exposure. It's nice he was able to hold still that long. The crackly looking areas are where the emulsion curled while drying and broke off. It's kind of a bummer, but at the same time adds a little bit of interest. I don't mind them. I plan on making more of these this fall when I come back to school.

New Work
These are some new images I have made recently. The one on the left is a normal silver gelatin print. The one on the right, in short, is a solarized direct paper negative. Making it is seems a little counter productive, but I think the end result is pretty interesting. I used the regular print to make a negative print, then solarized it to reverse the tones back to normal (sort of). So, yeah. That's all I can say about that, I guess.
